Methodology

How the checklists work

What each review checks, what it does not, and who wrote the checklists.

  1. 1

    One written checklist per product

Each review has its own checklist, written in original prose for that document type.

  2. 2

    Read against your document

Four passes read your PDF against every checklist item, then verify each citation.

  3. 3

    Every finding is traceable

Each finding names the checklist item that produced it and the page it came from.

  4. 4

    Never an approval

A clean report is not a compliance finding. We never call a document approved, and nothing is stamped.

Where the edition matters, you tell us which one your document uses at intake — for example the IEEE 1584 edition behind an arc flash study, or the NEC edition your jurisdiction adopted.

Who wrote the checklists

Every checklist on this site was written by Jay R. Prigmore II, Ph.D., P.E.. Automated reviews are run by software — he wrote the checks, he does not read each automated report.

Want a person to read it? The expert lane on AI NEC Pre-Check, MOP Review, and OLPD Report Review is read by a P.E. before release, as is the Personal Expert Review.
